1st Reading - Complete!
Hello Everyone!
Last week I was lucky enough to read to two "lower elementary" classrooms (grades 1-3) at a local Montessori school. It was so much fun! Especially since I was once a student there. Here is a picture of the bookmarks I handed out at the end! (each one was signed on the back as well).
I plan on marketing my book some more now that school is pretty much over!
Stay tuned~~

PUBLISHED! Introducing: "Priscilla's Pink Adventure"
I just received an email this morning from my editor that I am officially a published author!!!
"Priscilla is a sassy and ambitious seven-year-old girl. She has a beautiful room, but it is white and her favorite color is pink. Priscilla’s adventure starts when she leaves her home in search of something pink that she can take back with her. Priscilla’s Pink Adventure is the story of a child reaching and achieving a goal. Her journey will instill ambition and perseverance among young readers, and will also teach that we can often find what is most important in our own self and environment." 8.5x11 28 pages.

Spring Clearance Sale and Book Update
Hey Everyone!
I know I haven't checked in in awhile (things have been a little busy around here) but I just wanted to post an update relating to my Etsy shop and the book publishing adventure.
My editor contacted me today- the first batch of books from the printer have been...well, printed! She's received them and will be sending the copies a couple days from now (since I'll be out of town starting tomorrow morning and into Sunday).
Also, my Etsy shop is having a Spring Clearance Sale!! All items must go in the clearance section- so click on the "A Little Taste of My Etsy Shop" box on the side of this page if you'd like to see that.
Hope you all have a great rest of your week!

Book is NOW on its way to the Printer!
I received a proof of my book just yesterday by post; in approximately 3 weeks my editor will receive the books and will send out 25 for my personal use! Looks like I've got to get busy on marketing endeavors.

Book Update
Hello again everyone!
So after a few emails back and forth my editor and I have reached the final draft of my children's manuscript, as well as the finals for my book summary and author bio. We have also created a plan for the activity page at the end of the book (who doesn't love coloring and finding things?)
Next comes the book layout- I'll keep you all posted!

Just Got Back from Out of Town...
Yep! So no new news in terms of my book, I'm afraid. I do have a bit about these bookmarks though:
I am discontinuing these bookmarks once the listing runs out. There are two left of "Rapunzel" (Blue) and only one left of "Tiana" (Green).
*They are on sale now for $1.25 + shipping, and using the coupon code: FEBRUARY, that'll give you an extra 10% off.
Hurry while the listing lasts! Once it expires they'll be gone forever.

New Bookmarks and Book Update
Hello Everyone,
It's true, I've created a couple new listings on my Etsy page if you would like to check those out :)
I also got my proofread/edited manuscript back today! Super excited to look over that and see what has changed. I'll keep you all posted- hopefully you're still following me since I just realized that I hadn't added the "Subscribe by Email" button! (I know a few of you said you'd follow me through RSS feed, but still). But it's there now and located to the right of this post :)
Thanks for reading!

Etsy Update and Book Info.
Hi Everybody!
Thanks for such a powerful response yesterday, I was impressed that so many people visited my page for its launch!
But now, back to business. I think I should give a bit more info about my co-publishing agreement than in the comment I gave Janet yesterday (I believe it was the...9th comment on that post?). Anyway, according to the Executive Editor the book is due out 2-3 months, with copyright and everything. Like I said it'll be available through Amazon, the Renaissance House website, and through the Barnes and Noble website. Before this can happen though, sometime in the future I will have to think of a tentative marketing plan. Besides this blog I was thinking I could do readings at Quailridge (my local, privately owned bookstore), possibly my local Barnes and Noble, at my local Montessori school (where I myself was a student), as well as donate to my local library/children's hospital. I was also going to promote on Facebook, Etsy, Pinterest, etc.
What do you all think? I might need to make a Twitter too, huh? Or are there other ways you think I could support and promote my book?
As I'm waiting to hear back from Renaissance in regards to text proofreading and editing my manuscript, I'm currently making new bookmarks for my fiction-inspired Etsy shop! The characters will include Spider-Man, Red Robin (Tim Drake), Robin (Damian Wayne), and Wolverine.
Comment below with suggestions, advice, characters you'd like to see in my shop, etc.! :D Thank you all so much for your support!
